Denver CMRP 3-day BOK Workshop (tentative)

  • CMRP Training program by KC Chapter – Brian Heinsius of Visual Work Management
    • Brian developed guided study training for CMRP exam
    • Brian donated time to teach two 3 day class for KC chapter
    • Location of KC training & proctored exam – Johnson County Community College
    • Tried to self-proctor exam, but, it was not possible at the time
    • Size of Class: 12-15 students
    • Fee charged by KC Chapter for Training – $625 for members & $1250 for non-members
    • KC Chapter raised about $8K from 2 training classes
    • Costs about $50 per person to print and bind training materials
    • KC Training Date: usually mid-November
    • KC chapter charges $50/year for membership


  • CMRP Training Course for the Rocky Mountain Chapter Discussion
    • Brian volunteered to provide 3 day CMRP training for Rocky Mountain chapter at no charge except for expenses
      • Drive to and from KC – Denver
      • 4 nights hotel and expenses
      • Printing of training materials
    • Number of Students: 10 min to 20 max
    • Proposed Dates of CMRP Training (3 days + 1 day for proctored exam)
      • Week of May 18
      • Week of May 26 – May 25 is Memorial Day holiday
    • Possible locations of CMRP Training
      • Front Range Community College
      • Tri-State G&T
      • Metro WWTP
      • Ardent Mills
    • Training material printing – Tri-State or Ardent may be able to print & bind
    • Proctored Exam Options
      • RM chapter may be able to proctor the exam on the day after training if we get someone authorized to do it and coordinate exam taking with CMRP – students must bring their own PC
      • At FRCC or other community college
      • At CMRP Symposium in Denver in early June
    • What will RM chapter charge for CMRP Training?
      • Amount TBD
      • RM chapter must take payments from students
    • Determine who will be RM CMRP Training Coordinator?  He/she is responsible for:
      • Acquiring the Training Location & audio-visual equipment needed
      • Providing the Training materials to the attendees
      • Providing the Training assistants to Brian
      • Promoting the CMRP Training event
      • Registering the attendees and collecting the training fees
      • Directing the attendees to an online CMRP examination location near the training location
